SCOPE: Convert an existing bus station into a contemporary sales office for a historic printing company. The building experiences drastic temperature changes due to intense sun exposure and is ascetically outdated.

SOLUTION: Create a dynamic outer layer surrounding the building, which functions as an artistic “jacket” moderating the temperature and regulating the natural light. This outer layer uses recycled material that literally twist as it moves across the building.

ARCHITECTURAL THOUGHTS: The design utilizes new materials and construction methods which made the project exciting. We’ve been unable to find printing plates used this way and having a client who trusted in our experience and foresight allowed us to find a balance between functionality and artistic design
