Scope: Build a small house behind a primary residence for an active couple who wanted to downsize and turn the main house into a rental property.

Solution: Utilizing our experience in luxury yacht design, we took advantage of every nook and cranny to create efficient livability while leaving the overall space open and airy. The durability of materials gives the home depth and richness without the need for excessive space. Functional details such as the lights being able to run off a car battery make it not only space efficient, but cost effective as well.

Architectural Thoughts: This energy efficient home uses natural lighting to give it a coziness without feeling cramped. We used common materials in different ways to create something energy efficient, aesthetically pleasing, but not very expensive.
